Re: Show me
I posted about this yesterday and for all of you following my life chronicles- the dry cleaner got the stains out! So I freaked out for nothing. I think one of them is still kind of there, but it's not that noticeable, and I figure it's highly likely I'll spill dip all over myself within the first 10 minutes of the party anyway.
ETA: OP, I think you should wear a dress! It's your baby shower!
All my showers are more casual occassions. So I am going with clothes I already own. I feel like I don't want to buy new stuff because I will only need it for a little longer.
So I am wearing my dark blue maternity jeans (look like trouser jeans) and a nice maternity top from AnnTaylor Loft I bought months ago. It is a deep burgundy/plum color and has 3/4 sleeves and a bib top.
For one of my other showers it will be even more casual. Depending on the weather I might wear my maternity hoodie over a white maternity top. Just basic. It's a really small shower and super casual.
The last shower, I have no clue haha. I have some flowy tops that depending on the weather I might wear with a cardigan.
I was just going to wear jeans and a top, since I'm sure everyone else will be dressed casually, but I decided I wanted to wear a dress too.
I ordered 3 dresses, should be getting the last 2 tonight, and will then decide which to wear.

I got the above last night, and it's gorgeous, and I know I'd wear it again after I have the baby (which I need to be able to do to justify the cost!). I have the same dress in green except it has 3/4 length sleeves.
But, my pg love handles poke out on the sides, so I'm not sure if that is going to work. I ordered some maternity Spanx to see if they'll help. I could also use them under a couple of things I have for work.
I also ordered the following 2 from ASOS:
Asos pink pleated dress
Asos Maternity dress
The last one is the only one that's maternity, and it's the most casual and least expensive. I ordered it just in case neither of the other two works and I have to give in and wear a maternity dress. lol. I am just trying to buy as little maternity stuff as possible b/c I hate spending money on things I won't be able to wear for that long.
I'm wearing a dress I bought a few days ago at Target. It was on the clearance rack and the only one in the store that I didn't hate, though I actually did hate it on the hanger and the online photo is awful. (There are so many cute ones online, but the store selection is always so limited!) The dress I was originally going to wear no longer fits... as is the trend this week with all of my clothes :-/
Here's a photo from the dressing room (I took to send DH to see if I was just liking it out of desperation or if it was actually okay):
It has a tie thing on it but it looks stupid so I took it off. I'm going to wear it with black wedges and some turquoise jewelry. It's about 80 degrees here already.
Same here, for the past 2 weeks! It's annoying. I don't want to buy more maternity clothes!
You look cute.
Thank you!
The dress I was originally going to wear wasn't maternity, so I guess I should expect this at 30 weeks pregnant but ugh, I hate spending money on maternity clothes too!
My shower is Feb 18. I was hoping to wear this dress, with my boots/tights - but it is 80 deg here today! The dress came with 2 belts - I dont really like the pleather one shown below - I'll wear the knit green one that matches the dress.
If i'ts this warm in 2 wks though . .. I'm going to have to rethink my outfit.
