Suddenly measuring small?

I usually post in Pgal, but I wanted to see if other 3rd tri ladies have experienced this- I had my 34 week appointment and I'm measuring 2 weeks behind. At my 32 week appointment, I was measuring right on track. He scheduled an ultrasound for Monday since the tech isn't in today. He wants to measure my fluid level and baby's growth. He didn't seem too concerned, but of course I'm freaking out. Has anyone had this happen? Was it low fluids or baby's positioning? My little guy has been active and had a normal heartbeat, so I dont know what to think. I noticed a couple days ago that my belly looked "deflated" or something. It does look different and not as big. I guess Im hoping to hear any feedback (hopefully positive!) from you ladies. I'm just concerned that this has been a sudden thing.

I wouldn't worry too much. The fundal height measurement isn't exact. It could be a lot of things including the way the baby is positioned.

At my 32 week appointment, doc said that the baby was measuring really big, and should be about 9lbs, just like his big brother. This time, she told me to expect a "normal sized baby" at around an estimated 7.5 at birth. I think that babies grow at their own pace, as opposed to the "standards". My doc didn't seem worried either, although it's weighed on my mind - I'm a paranoid pregnant woman!

Plus, my belly is super tiny in the morning, compared to the evenings. It's very noticable, so I'm hoping this explains the changes in your belly shape.

Don't stress about it. The same thing happened to me almost exactly. Baby's size is just fine, but I found out baby is breach and making my measurements smaller. Not the ideal situation, but baby is just fine.

At my 34 week appointment my doctor told me I was measuring smaller because the baby had dropped; there was a noticable change in my belly too. After he had told me I realized that my heartburn had stopped the week before, so I'm pretty sure my baby dropped around 33 weeks. I would not be worried!!!

Yep,this happened to me last week. I was measuring smaller than I had 2 weeks prior to that. I had an ultrasound done and turned out the baby had dropped. She was actually measuring on the bigger side, just really slow. So try not to worry! I think it is very common later in pregnancy for those measurements to be all over the place as the baby drops and changes position.

i started measuring small at 37/38 weeks (i measured 34cms) and it was because of a dramatic drop in amniotic fluid...there was actually no measurable fluid left so I was induced that night. I would just be mindful of baby's movement and go to L&D if you think it is decreased. At least then you would get an u/s right away and not have to wait until monday and continue to worry.

I suddenly am measuring a little behind too about 1.5 weeks. With my DS I always measured over my week. My OB checked me and said the head is really low and that is why she thinks I'm measuring behind. She's waiting to see what happens at the next appointment. It good your getting checked by u/s, I almost want that just so I know for sure that's all it is.
