I couldn't do without these things:
1. My boppy
2. The itzbeen timer
3. Rock n play
4. My iPhone (not specificly baby related, but still tremendously important!)
5. What to expect the first year ( DH and I dubbed this "the bible")
6. My DH. He is my rock.
Re: I couldn't survive without my:
1. SwaddleMes - without them, I'm not sure that Evan would be in 2 separate 4 hour stretches of sleep per night!
2. Rock 'n Play Sleeper - a godsend
3. Earth Mama Angel Baby Nipple Butter - for my poor, sore nipples
4. My mom - who came for a week and cooked every meal, cleaned my house and loved on my baby so I could take naps. She also left a fridge full of leftovers when she left this morning.
5. DH - that man has changed more diapers than I have so far.
6. My iPhone - for giving me something to do during marathon nursing sessions.
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
1. The cradle swing. This is the only place my DS will sleep.
2. Gas drops. My DS was extremely gassy/fussy and these are a life saver.
3. The changing table I bought for our living room. I love that it has a drawer to store all the little items I need everyday and I have clothes, burp clothes, swaddle blankets, etc. stored in baskets on the shelves. I would hate to run upstairs a million times a day for these things and it makes diaper changing so convenient.
4. Saline nose drops. My DS has been so stuffy and these clear him right up.
1. Rock n Play. She sleeps like a rock in it. Plus I can keep it right next to the bed and know what her noises mean without getting up.
2. The blankets my mom made. DD doesn't like being swaddled and she is too small for footed pajamas to work, so we use these to keep her warm.
3. My iPhone. I keep track of every feed on there, otherwise I would go crazy trying to remember!!
4. Nipple shield. DD wouldn't latch on to my flat nipples, but this allowed me to continue BFing. Thankfully we are starting to wean
5. Medela tender care lanolin. Nuff said.
6. DH. He has been an amazing rock and support for me. Especially with the BFing drama.
7. My mom. She's been a help with calming me down, cooking meals, and just keeping me entertained.
1. mom
2. ergo
3. coffee
Mama Jan's Kitchen... a food blog
1. Coffee
2. Boppy
3. The meals I froze in advance
4. Aden and Anais swaddle blanket - she doesn't like to swaddle but it's an amazing blanket and nursing cover.
5. More coffee.
Cambria, Keira, and Bonnie Quinn
1. My nipple shield. I honestly want to give them as baby shower gifts now to avoid the scramble of husbands in a sleepless stupor looking for them.
2. The bouncer. Showering is good. And it bounces itself.
3. My pump...sigh. Having a double pump makes life easier though.
4. Lanolin. Ouuuuccch.
5. Footed sleepers. Henry is in footed sleepers ALL. THE. TIME. I have no time to deal with socks, shirts, pants, etc.
6. Ditto on the husband. Mine requested to work from home today so he could give me a hand. It's so nice.
1) My hubby. I wouldn't have survived the first 3 weeks without him.
2) Medela tender care lanolin
3) Fenugreek and Domperidone for my breastmilk supply issues
4) Medela Freestyle pump
5) Tommy tippee bottles
6) Avent soothers
7) Coffee/water/apples ( I am completely addicted to green apples)
8) Last but NOT least, my beautiful, healthy daughter. I can't live without her.
1. Hubby and DS--loving all the men in my life!
2. Bouncer chair-he loves to snooze in there during the day giving Mommy a break
3. I Pod touch with audiobooks (currently listening to Rob Lowe's Autobiography) for nursing sessions
4. Food that people have so generously been bringing us
5. Prescription motrin for that still sore post partum fun/SITZ baths
6. Summer instant swaddle pods-makes DS look like a little sweet pea but he loves having the tight swaddle all night
7. Onesie outfits with ZIPPERS!
8. Aden and Anais swaddle blankets--great for loose swaddle (since I am not a pro), BF cover, bouncer chair warmer
9. The Bump--I have not left the house besides a couple trips to the pediatrician's office in 9 days. The Bump (and other various social networking sites) have been my sanity during down time. There is only so much TV to be watched....
1. Chrystal Lite energy drink.
2. Swaddle blanket, it's the only thing that will settle her down at night
3. Bed Sharing
4. My wrap
http://balletandbabies.blogspot.com
1.) Rock N Play- only thing that gets me a little bit of sleep at night.
2.) Nipple shield- I also have flat nipples and it was a god send.
3.) Boppy pillow
4.) Iphone- I use it at night to light up the night stand to find everything I need when he wakes up lol.
5.) Nuk pacifiers
1. itzbeen timer
2. my droid
3. the water jug/cup they gave me at the hospital! keeps my ice for hours!
4. DH!
5. the bump!
1.) Munchkin Bottle Warmer...I will give this at every baby shower from here on lol
2.) Avent Paci's
3.) DH couldn't do this alone!!
4.) Swaddle Blankets
5.)Bassinett in our room-it has so much baskets, drawers, pockets, and shelves I only have to stock it once a week with everything I need:)
6.) A Great Pedi who doesn't mind a crazy FTM lol:)
Honestly... my family. Between my family and DH's family, I get so much help with both kids. Don't get me wrong, I take care of my own kids, but they are just extremely helpful when DH is working overtime, and in allowing me to take the time to heal after my c.
My mom and my dh have been great, especially those first two weeks we were home. Like pp said, footed pj's (forget trying to keep those little socks on) and definitely ones with zippers! My iPhone, which helps keep me awake during nursing and lights up the room at night. Bibs, without them I'd be changing lo 10 times a day. And finally gas drops! Lo is so gassy and they work almost immediately.
