abd pain and tenderness pp...

Is it normal to feel extreme tenderness, like to the touch (even a soft rub) a week PP.

I had my first BM (sorry if TMI) yesterday and the staples out on tuesday. I am also EBF so I know that makes you have contractions too.

I haven't taken any pain meds in 48 hours and when you even softly run your fingers over the skin from below my belly button to the incision site it feels tingly numb which I know is normal but it also feels like a sunburn or a severe bruise at all times.

Especially in a straight line down the middle....Just wanted to make sure it sounded normal to someone b/c I am getting worried.

I have/had the same feeling. I am 2 wks pp and only slightly sore to the touch now. And I'm also ebf and still feeling the inner tingesof pain when feeding.

Yes. Take some ibuprofen. I stopped the percocets pretty quickly except for bedtime because I didn't like the loopy feeling. I alternated ibuprofen and tylenol every 3-4 hours for a couple of weeks and it was very helpful with the pain and left me feeling almost normal.

And I still am tender to the touch at certain times even 14 months later. I asked my sister who had a c/s two years ago and she still has the same.

Now if you have a lot of swelling, redness or the incision is hot to the touch, call your OB.
