  I might get either a CVS or an amnio depending on my NT B/W results. I had an amnio with my daughter. I went in for a CVS, but they couldn't do it based on the location of the placenta.

  I had it done at week 13 due to AMA (and was concerned after my M/C).  It really wasn't bad at all. I got FISH test results (they look at the 4 major chromosomes for genetic issues so can tell you if there are any of the trisomies and gender) back in 48 hours and full results in 6 calendar days.  Let me know if you have questions.  Happy to answer!  I know how nerve wracking the whole thing can be!

  m/c 3/07-7 weeks, m/c 5/07-9 weeks, ds 09/08, ds 05/10, m/c 10/11-9 weeks
