How early did you start taking them both out on your own?  I used to always get out of the house with ellie, so sitting around all day is driving me nuts.  But I'm a little nervous to take the plunge.  I have already taken them both to the grocery store a couple times, but I don't necessarily count that since Clayton never left the car seat and Ellie went directly from car seat to shopping cart and back.  Also, any recs of easy places to go?  I am thinking library (although the pressure to be quiet there kinda makes me nervous) and The Sandbox (bc it is contained).  We have a membership to SNMOP, but Ellie is a runner and doesn't listen well, so I don't know if I can chase her around especially if Clayton needs to eat at the same time.

    I'd say at about 3 wks post c-section, once I could comfortably lift the 2 carriers without pain. I went to places where J could play/explore but not get too far from me. We went to the aquarium, the mall, Chuckie Cheese and Wegmans. We were at Wegmans a TON because they have a little play area in their cafe. I could eat lunch or drink a coffee in peace, rock the babies in the cart and justin could play in the little toy area.

    I feel the same way and it hasn't even been 2wks yet! But I'm more nervous this time bc it's winter and C won't have her shots until the end of march. With all the sickness that goes around this time of year it makes me scared to bring her out of the house.

    We took A out really early, but it was easier because it was June, so we went to parks, festivals, etc...  I think that Target was our "first outing".  Now I take them both everywhere (mall, stores, indoor playgrounds, other bumpies' houses :)

    Uh, I'll let you know when I do!  I do take them both to the library sometimes, and places like Wegmans. But I haven't done any other trips, although a big part of that is that there isn't anywhere to go around here. I think I started doing things with both when Thomas was around a month old.

    I've been going through the same thing, but luckily DH is home so we always just go out together. I have been afraid to take the 2 of them on my own. I wish I was more brave. Callie isn't a fan of her carseat so sometimes even the shortest trips are horrible. So I've actually even afraid to take her by herself anywhere.
