For those of you still here...Hang in there!! The amount of things I was gonna vent about when I woke up this morning was unbelieveable, but I have gotten over it. Although I've given up on bouncing/rocking on the ball and walking. I've decided today I'm gonna watch chick flicks and nap.
Hopefully it'll be soon!!!
Re: Overdue Check In
You poor thing
Every time I sign on, I keep my fingers crossed you're not around because you're in labor. Sending labor dust your way!!
Everybody keeps telling me they KNOW she is gonna come on Superbowl Sunday (her daddy is a Pats fan)... TBH, it makes me wanna throat punch everybody that says it.
And everyone that tells me I should be walking, having sex, bouncing on the ball, etc. makes me want to punch them also. Yes, I know I should be doing these things. Guess what? For the past week, I've been doing all of them, everyday, for the most part at least. And guess what? None of them have even brought a hint of a contraction. I didn't think I'd start to get frustrated by people's comments, but between today and yesterday, I'm done with it. I'm thinking about avoiding FB for a few days, or at least until she's born. And I hope she's not born on Sunday, just so I can shove it down all their throats lol. (Side note: if she's not here by Sunday, I will want her born on Sunday lol)
Vent over. Go ahead, vent away, I understand lol
Oh btw, your LO is adorable!! So are your pups
I read a post a while back about how your pups are adjusting and I hope Bailey (my fur baby) does as well as your girl does. She is totally a mama's girl so I'm afraid she's gonna be super jealous! And I can't stand the thought of having to get rid of her if she hates LO.
You've been better than I have with all the walking/bouncing/etc.
If baby's not here on Monday, I'm not going back to work, regardless. I think that's more of my frustration at this point: work. Oh, and having my hopes up each time I go into the doctor. So tired of hearing, "This will be the day" or "I expect to see you sometime this weekend." Stop saying it and make it happen.
Only two people at work are left in the pool of when baby was supposed to come: me (2/5) and my youngest employee (2/7). Here's hoping I win it.
Still waiting. We're having a major snow storm here in Denver so I was actually hoping that he would not come last night or today as we are delivering at a hospital across town and the thought of the drive in the storm had me totally freaked out. We've gotten over a foot of snow so far and DH stayed home today "just in case" I were to go into labor as he knows it would take him probably an hour or more to get home and then another hour to get to the hospital.
And you'll appreciate this, we went out to our "last" nice dinner last night before the snow started (although we've had three "last dinners" now since baby doesn't seem to want to arrive). Anyhow, the food was delicious but really rich. In the middle of the night I woke up with some cramps, that I thought were finally contractions. Nope, just horrible gas pains. So much for any progress. Looks like Sunday night's post-Super Bowl induction is still on.

A little late - but I'm still here too!!!
I had an appointment today for 41 weeks where I am 1 (and she said almost 2) fingers dilated. Still 50% effaced. She stripped my membranes (WOW. that will wake you up!!) and said that if that works, it will work within 24 hours. I'm going back on monday for her to do it again if needed. And they are scheduling my induction for tuesday or wednesday (though I asked for monday, but they said their scheduling person wouldn't be able to get to it until monday - meaning it would be scheduled for tuesday at 4 at the earliest...ugh)
So, wait, I shall. I am feeling pretty good. Tired of the waiting game, of course. Glad that LO is doing well. Did great on the NST and has great fluid levels. I just need to stop gaining so much weight! I eat terribly because I have nothing else to do!! Midwife expects LO to be around 9lbs!! yikes!
GL to all!!
