So 2 weeks ago (6weeks5days) my RE put me on progesterone suppositories 3x a day because my progesterone level was 13. Today I had another appointment and they said they would probably taper me down based on my results. Today my level was 18. They decided to keep me on 3x a day until I'm 11 weeks, and I go back next week to have it re-checked. Does this seem super conservative? I feel like 18 really isn't that low at all... any thoughts?
Re: Progesterone Levels
18 isn't that low, but it's likely your provider just wants to cover all the bases. Levels can fluctuate quite a bit, and staying on the supps can help to maintain a more ideal range. Your placenta should take over P4 production by 10-11 weeks, so that's likely why they want you to stay on them. HTH!

My levels were in the high 20's in the first part of this pregnancy. I think they consider 18 borderline? Keep up the progesterone...you won't regret it
I sounds good but they probably don't want to take you off because you're at 18 because of the progesterone sups if you stop early, your levels may drop. You just won't need it anymore when the placenta takes over. I'm on them too- Crinone 8% and I only have to take them once a day and my levels were at 6 when I was 5 weeks. They went up to 7.5 two days after I started the Crinone but they haven't tested me since. I'm 10 weeks 5 days now so I'm guessing everything is going well. I've never made it this far before- two m/c before 5 weeks. Keep it up, 11 weeks will be here before you know it! I'm on mine till 12 weeks, can't wait! GL!
I am waiting to get my progesterone checked. (7 DPO bloodwork) I have had to losses both right around 5 weeks. If you have any advice I would appreciate it!
Unfortunatly, the only advise I can give is to take it easy and wait for the results. I started the progesterone as soon as they called me and they say it starts to work within a half hour so hopfully they'll start you on it in time-if it comes back low. Did they tell you that it was low with either of your m/c? GL, I have my FX for you! Hopefully, third time's a charm-for both of us!
