Is it normal to not have a pp appt till 6 wks after csection? I've been reading about 2 and 4 week follow-upsand I don't go in to be checked for the first till March 1!

Usually there's an appt at 2 weeks pp but it's just to check your incision. If your ob doesn't want to see you until 6 weeks it's probably no biggie. Just keep a close eye on your incision and call if it doesn't seem to be healing properly.

Yep. I didnt have a checkup until 6 weeks either time.
How was your incision closed? I had dermabond so it dissolved on its own. I'm guessing you'd need an earlier appointment to get staples removed or something.
Make sure that if there's anything funky going on with your incision that you get in to see your OB sooner than 6 weeks.
My first c/s, I didn't get in to see my doc until almost 10 weeks pp due to my son's NICU stay.
My second c/s, my OB was out of town and was comfortable with me waiting until 9 weeks to follow up as long as I watched my incision for anything out of the ordinary.
That being said, 6 week pp follow up is pretty typical.
I went in 2 days after being discharged, because DS had his circ done. I was swelling pretty bad, so she checked me out right before DS' procedure. I also had my staples removed then. I honestly can't remember if I went in at two weeks or not, but I did go at 6 weeks for a pelvic and pap smear(and the okay for lifting/sex/all that jazz).
We had a nurse come to our home at two weeks to check both of us out. She checked my incision, took my BP, asked about swelling and weighed LO and asked how BFing was going.
Then I had an appointment with my OB just before 6 weeks.
I had a 2w pp appointment, but my OB told me it was more to check up on my emotional well being than anything else. She checked my incision but she also asked me some personal questions about how I was dealing with the life change and the crazy newborn stage and all. I love my OB practice and the fact that they check on new moms and are so concerned about PPD made me like them even more.

No appt until 6week pp, but I also live in Germany so things are different here. I had dissolvable stitches.
