IUD ladies: Does your DH feel it?

DH told me last night he feels like he's getting pricked. (I can only assume the strings) What did/do you do?

Mine cannot feel the strings but if you have any worries, your doc can trim the strings a little.

DH said he can feel them but theyre not pricking him. I told him my OB said she would trim them if he wanted to. He didn't really say he wanted to so I'm not going to bother.

I dont have one but my OB told me many times she has to remove IUDs for DH's comfort because they can feel the strings.

Hmmmmm....I am a bad wife! My mirena has been in for 3 weeks and I still haven't had sex yet. I haven't really been ib the mood really. Also still spotting/bleeding after insertion!! I have no idea if he will feel it or not...if so I hope its like the ring- could feel it but not bothersome.

My doc told me they will soften up after a while. However, at my last appt. the couldn't find the strings, so who knows!

My SO hasn't felt it and he has an average size peen.

I didn't pre-warn DH because then he would have been all freaked out. He did mention that he felt something and then I told him about the strings. He has only felt them one time after that so I'm not going in to get the strings trimmed just yet.

I had Mirena before we conceived DS and my DH got "poked" frequently. My OB said that men can often feel the strings if they are too long OR too short (I guess they are pokey when they are short?). Anyway, it really bugged DH so after DS was born I got Implanon (which is the same meds but implanted in your arm).
