Glad - couple questions

I just ordered a couple yards each of hemp and OBV.  Do you suggest I prep them separately, or can I just toss them in together?  Also, would you mind sharing how many layers of hemp you use when you make your doublers?

    It depends on the weight and type of hemp you are using.  I use heavyweight hemp fleece, and sew two layers together. 

     

    I would prep the hemp separately for at least the first two to three washes, then throw the OBV in for the final two or three washes.  Hemp is really oily, and you want to get as much of that out as possible before exposing it to other fabrics.

    Oh! One more question.  Where do you get your hemp from?  I just ordered 2 yards from Kids in the Garden.  I wanted to see if I liked it before I went crazy.
