3rd Trimester

Lots of pressure~help pls!

LO dropped yesterday and i had a lot of pressure then, lots today, and having pain and pressure right now all through my waist, hips, and lower back. But it doesn't feel like contractions. I don't remember this with my DD1 and i plan on calling the doctor tomorrow and see if i can come in. What do you ladies think this is all about!? Think she is just dropping more, i'm starting to dialate? Anything? It's starting to make me worry...I have a schedualed c-section for March 15th and want her to stay in for as long as possible! Not to mention my husband is going out of town for two weeks next week..ok yes i am starting to freak out-bring me back to earth please!

TIA!!

  • Just sounds like pressure to me.  You must not have dropped as much with your first.  I carried my first really low and at times it felt like she would fall out in those last few weeks...but when I was checked around 41.5 weeks I was only 1 cm.

I have it off and on with this LO too...especially in the past week.  My belly is looking really low now, so I think it is the same thing.  Wish I could say it was a sign, but it really doesn't mean anything labor wise.

You totally should- even if just to make yourself feel better.

  • I've been feeling this way too and I'm only 32 weeks.  When I'm sitting or laying down it's totally fine...but when I'm walking around or standing, there is a ton of pressure.  I left a message for my doctor's nurse yesterday about it...I feel silly, I'm sure it's fine, but I don't' remember having this with DS...then again that was 4 years ago, too!  I also feel like I have to pee ALL.THE.TIME.  Even immediately after I go!  Auggh :)  3rd Trimester, don't you love it!?  Let us know what your doctor says!
  • It's probably just a lot of pressure from her dropping. I've had that kind of pressure for weeks and I would think my baby would have made an appearance by now but so far, I'm one day over... good luck!
