Rant first: WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!!!!!!! Goodness its like pulling teeth with ppl. My 75 yr old grandmother I love her but she is going to drive me up a wall with not washing her hands. Yesterday she grabbed onto LO hands and she didnt wash her hands when she came in. Umm really? Then when I brought it to her attention that she didnt wash her hands she goes on to say I act as though she is poisonous!!!!! And goes on to tell me how she raised two kids and help raise my sister and I, like I love you granny but I dont care! My daughter is one month old and was recently battling a bad case of thrush( in the mouth and on her bottom) for the past few weeks (which she is still taking medicine for) Im not trying to have her catch anything else because your ego/pride has been bruised. Like is it really that hard to wash your hands ? And you touch her hands of all things...oh no no no. Put on hand sanitizer, hell wipe your hands with a baby wipe do something! My child, my rules simple as that ! Anyone dealing with family/friends who have a hard time with you telling them to wash /sanitize their hands.
I know some ppl are against co sleeping and originally I was too but im not going to lie I enjoy it and its the best sleep we both get. I have let her sleep in her rock and play and she sleeps pretty good there but she sleep the longest cuddled up next to me. And she likes her face pressed to mines while in the crook of my arm and thats how we fall alseep. Any co sleepers?
Re: Any cuddlers and co sleepers? Also mini rant
We co-sleep too. Like you, I quickly realized with my first that it was the best sleep I got. I started it in the hospital with DS1 and coslept for 3-4 months. DS2 coslept with us for over a year... close to 2 years actually.
My bigger boys are both still huge cuddle bugs and part of me wonders if co-sleeping fostered that? Not that we'll ever know the answer to that....
At pedi visits, we get a checklist of "is your child doing this, this, this etc" One question asks if the child sleeps in their crib. When I answer no, the pedi has to "council" me that it's not recommended and then he always adds his 2? that there are definitely benefits to it.

Good luck getting her to sleep in her crib in a few weeks. Our little guy still hates sleeping by himself and won't hardly sleep anywhere but on us.

During the day she takes all her naps on my chest or nestled in my arms but I could never co-sleep. Our bed always looks like I've been wrestling alligators in my sleep so I have no idea how you moms are able to sleep and stay still enough to have an infant with you. Our poor baby would probably end up with a black eye if she was in the bed with us at night.
I make it safe for her and Im not a "wild" sleeper and I stay on my side plus its just me and her. Now if my ex was around then absolutely not that man has slapped and kicked (dreaming) me in my sleep and never stays on his side so then co sleeping would have been a no go for sure.
I've ended up with LO in bed with me a few times - we try to keep him in the rock 'n play next to our bed but at 4am, it's just easier to nurse laying down and then we both fall asleep that way. He's happy - I'm happy - and I love waking up to sweet warm baby in the crook of my arm or on my chest in the morning.
It's only going to last for a little while - and I love it!
