I'm looking for a not to expensive but not a piece of junk jogging stroller. We have the Uppa Baby Vista so I don't need a travel system jogger, just a basic stroller to run/walk with once the weather gets nice (although it's been unseasonably warm in NY). I'll only use it for jogging/walking. Figure since I don't have time to work out and I also hate working out, this would be good exercise.....and I love taking LO out for walks.

Baby Jogger City Mini....love it!

Re: The above post - the City Mini is not a jogger. Don't get it if you plan to run with it.
We have the BOB Revolution and absolutely love it, but it's not cheap. If I can urge anything, it's to get a jogger that has a front wheel that swivels for versatility but locks for running. If you plan to walk a lot with it, the fixed-wheel is a pain in the ass.
This one has pretty good reviews: https://www.amazon.com/InStep-Safari-Swivel-Jogger-Yellow/dp/B002QDMORQ/ref=sr_1_cc_1?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1328204090&sr=1-1-catcorr
Joovy Zoom. I love it. I walk with it, my husband runs with it. It was $200 when I got it, it's now $250.

Depends on the stroller. Our Chariot Cougar has a fixed jogging wheel and it's not a PIA at all to walk with.
But, it is expensive (even more so than the BOB). However, you can use it for jogging/running, strolling, biking, hiking and skiing, so it's well worth the money.
For real? I never knew it could vary by stroller. In a totally curious-non-snarky-way, how is it not a PITA? Like, if you have to make a 90-degree turn or turn around or even pull off to the side of the road/trail, doesn't the fact that the front wheel is locked straight make it extremely hard to do this? I much prefer using our jogger when the wheel swivels but it is nice to have the locked wheel when I'm going to be going straight for a long while. When I run, I find myself struggling with it a bit even to just maneuver around a curve in the trail. Do you have to pop a wheelie to make sharp turns? (that's what I do when I'm running and have to turn around). I'm intrigued.
I have the zoom fixed wheel (ATS) and love it. I only got it for running. sometimes the joovy site has it on sale for 200, so check there. Or, craigslist often has BOB's and other joggers.
Kelbrian is absolutely right about the Chariot. I've owned 2, and have run with them since 1998 (no, not kidding). If it were a giant PITA, I would have not bought the second one (single to double). It is extremely easy to turn, you either turn it like you would a normal stroller, or, yes, pop a wheelie for sharp turns (so easy that my 9 year old can run with it). It is extremely light for it's size, and pushes easier than both my other strollers (Phil and Ted's Sport and Quinny Zapp).
If it weren't for the size, I would gladly use it for my everyday. I also have swivelling "mall wheels" for the front that I trade out the fixed wheel for when I take it shopping, the bike hitch, and the travel bag (flown with it). I would gladly get the ski attachments if I could actually find them in stock. I highly recommend testing it out.
As for cost, yes, it is pricey, but considering I paid around $800 (before accessories) in 2003 for this one, it's more than worth the price for the amount we use it. And I'm going to have to post pics, because it's still not showing any wear.
I knew the Chariot expert would step in
She said it best!
I used mine for two years almost every single day (we don't own a car), and it's really a fabulous piece of gear. It plows through snow like no one's business, and that jogging wheel comes in so handy for that. I wouldn't have survived Chicago's snowpocalypse last year (actually, exactly a year today! 28 inches) without it.
It's extremely light, even if it doesn't look it. I have no problems turning it, and I use it in stores, coffee shops, etc. with the strolling wheels. I love that I can easily switch modes because the bicycle hitch and different wheels can be stored on the chassis.
Funny enough, I also have the same strollers as gimmietimmies, and I agree - the Chariot is the easiest to use out of all three.
I've tried jogging with the Phil&Ted and it sucks. The Chariot, on the other hand, is like a dream. Once you get going, it's so easy to keep a pace with it. It turns really easily. Occasionally I have to push down on it to take a sharp turn, but it's a really light push. Takes little to no effort.
Baby Jogger FIT? a lightweight and slim shape single jogging stroller with fixed front wheel (so, it's definitely meant for exercise only). Higher canopy allows for roomy head space capable to accommodate taller toddler. Here's the link to find out further features details: https://jogging-stroller-reviews.net/baby-jogger-fit-reviews/
Fyi, a baby should at least have a stable neck control before s/he can be put on a jogging stroller for a ride
