I'm totally tempted to drag out maternity pants for Thanksgiving... and almost did last year when I wasn't pg! It's like the episode of friends when Joey wore Phoebe's maternity pants for Thanksgiving and called them his "Thanksgiving Pants"
I wish I could be facing thanksgiving with something other than dread of something making me puke
I am so sorry! Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday--and I've been fortunate that any nausea I've had is quickly relieved with ginger ale. I would be devastated if I couldn't have my dinner
But I'll eat extra for you!!
BFP #1: m/c at 8 weeks; BFP #2: DD born 6/9/09; BFP #3 m/c at 5 weeks; BFP #4 m/c at 8 weeks, D&E; BFP #5 DS born 8/12/12
I'm jealous! I hope my nausea is good to me that day and decides to take a day off so I too can enjoy yummy food. Before pregnancy I loved turkey with cranberry and pumkin pie but now just thinking of it makes me wanna puke. Thankfully my mom and I came up with a back up plan and she is making tamales instead this year and sweet yams with marshmallows - I will be all over that. I plan on wearing a lose fitting shirt so I can unbuckle my pants.
I'm fully supportive of that. I'm of the belief that if you're uncomfortable in regular pants, go with maternity, even if you're not showing or "needing" them yet.
i'm all for wearing what makes you comfortable- who cares if it's maternity or not? you are freakin' pregnant! I don't get it when other people bash women for wearing maternity "too soon" ... if you are more comfy in it- it's never too soon!!
Go for it! I plan on wearing mine too. People on here will bash you if you are earlier than like 16 weeks and dare to call anything "baby" when its all bloat. I say that this bloat is because of baby, so wear what you want to make you comfortable!!
I was just going to post to see if anyone was going to do this because I am! Why limit how much you can eat because your in between regular clothes and maternity clothes. I will almost be 12 weeks next week and since this is my second I am thinking my bloat will come out full force after I have yummy turkey. Good thing I am on Zofran because most of the time after I eat I do not get sick. It is usually before I eat that I feel like getting sick. So everyone should wear Thanksgiving pants next Thursday!!
He he, I plan on doing this too. My regular pants have felt a bit tighter in the last few days, and last night DH said he thinks he is starting to see a little bump. So that was all the validation I needed--maternity pants are making their first appearance on Thanksgiving!
Re: I don't even care what you think
go for it!

Those are NOT maternity pants...they are what I fondly call buffett pants.
ENJOY!!!!
