We use dr brown too. With my first son, we used avent (hated them) baby bjorn (loved them) and eventually playtex with the inserts (loved them even more for the ease of cleaning). Dr brown's are ok but I don't like that the nipples are small. When he's super hungry, it allows him to suck in more air. I prefer the fatter nipples (like the playtex or tommee tippee).

We use Evenflo Purely Comfi. They are great but the only downfall is when LO starts eating 6oz you have to use the bigger bottles even thought the smaller ones are 6oz. Since they are curved, when you add the formula it spills out.
Born Free wide neck. They rock. I used them with DD and now with DS-although I did try Dr. Browns on DS and I hated that they were SO difficult to read the oz markings on the bottles and the nipples were so tiny and if you didn't put together the vent just right it leaked.....and lastly, the Dr. Browns felt cheap to met...whereas with the bornfree the plastic feels much more sturdy and less plastic-y. Know what I mean?

Dr. Brown's are our favorites, and the Avent ones are good, too. We don't like the Tommee Tippee ones - the nipple collapses too easily and DD takes in a lot of air with these.

I got a newborn starter set of the Avent, and a 3 pack of playtex ventaire standard at my babyshower. I hated the avent. The ventaire are ok, but I like the wide version better. I also tried the dr. browns because I found them on sale but didn't like the standard nipples. I would probably like the dr browns wide but haven't shelled out the money for them. Right now we use playtex ventaire wides and the drop-in nursers. It seems like DS takes in less air with the wide nipples.
We use Evenflo Purely Comfi and I HATE them. They were the fourth bottle we tried and the only one DD would take so we stuck with them but they suck they are always leaking. I am going to try other kinds when it comes time to buy bigger one's.

Thanks ladies! My DD was really colicky which was why we used the Dr. Browns.. but I hated all the parts and cleaning that came with them! Loved the NUK but looking into different options for this baby! My DD could NOT use the drop ins.. which is what I would have used...
Re: FF -- which bottles do you use?
We use Dr. Brows with no complaints.
Haven't tried anything else though, so really have no basis for comparison.
