Honest Opinions Needed...

My DH loves the Name Colton, I don't hate it and it's growing on me but I'm not in love with it. I'm leaning towards Noah but I'm still not really sure. These are the only two names we can agree on.

So honest opinions; Colton or Noah or should we wipe the slate clean and keep looking?

Colton is way overdone in my neck of the woods. Actually, so is Noah (and just about any other biblical name you can think of)

If it were me, I'd start over.....

I prefer Noah...where I live, if your name is Colton you'd better be a cowboy or a really great quarterback

. But Noah is so great, and will be equally awesome on a baby OR a resume for an adult!

I like Noah and really dislike Colton. It's very redneck/cowboy and reminds me of a horse. NMS.

Noah is classic to me. Colton seems kind of made up and trendy IMO. However, go with what YOU love.

Yep, plus I have a bad association with a "Kolten" so I'm not a fan.

Noah > Colton. But I think you can do better. I'd eliminate Colton and see if something better than Noah comes along.

They are both nice names; however, Noah is #7 on the ssa website. If that's not a factor, then I say go with Noah.

Noah is kind of blah to me since I've heard it so often, but it's better than Colton, which is very country-sounding (and NMS).

Noah is one of my absolute FAVE names. BUT it has gotten SO popular. I think that would be the only drawback. I also am a fan of Colton, and I think it lends itself to a cute NN in Colt or Cole.

.. sounds like you're just kind of settling for average names that you're okay with, but don't love .. I would keep looking .. your child is going to carry this name for the rest of his life .. you should definitely love the name you and DH pick out .. !

THIS! i love both names, but i'm so sick of seeing them so they were both off the table from the get go for us!
