Okay, so I totally understand that the ladies on the Childfree: Not by Choice boards are going through so much. Its increibily sad and depressing for them. My bff is going through the same thing in her life and I know seeing me get pregnant so easily has been really hard on her.
I went on that board just to ask how to be sensetive to her because the last thing in the world I want is to make her feel worse!!! All I get is a snarky remark about how that not what they are there for. However, I figured they would be the best people to ask how they would like to be approached in this situtation.
I know, I get it, I shouldn't be offended but I was honestly just trying to look out for my friend who I love more then anything! Am I totally wrong on this?
Re: I totally understand but...
The best way to get your question answered, is to ask someone on the tri or month boards. See if there's someone who was in your friends suggestion.
Seeing a person coming in who isn't having a problem, can cause to much hurt. A lot of those women haven't completely come to terms with the major life change they didn't want. They have that board as a place to not think about pregnancy.
I'm sorry you were treated not so nicely. I've never been on that board, but I can NOT imagine what it would be like to not be able to have kids. The year I spent dealing with my infertility was hell on earth.
I can imagine that, much like the loss board, those ladies don't like 'drive by' posters asking them for advice and I can sort of see how it would rub them the wrong way. That's all I can really figure.
I agree about the tickers. If you do post on the TTC boards please put TICKER WARNING in your subject line.
