Sick sad baby with a cold :(

So DD has a cold - she got a cold when she was 3 months old and it wasn't that bad.  But last night she woke up around 2:30am all congested and couldn't sleep unless held in my arms on her side.  Her breathing was so congested/gurgling it broke my heart.  Her nose is just constantly running and she won't let me near her with the snot sucker.  I went out this morning and baby vicks rub and she seems to be taking an ok nap currently.  We also have a cool mist humidifer going in her room - any other suggestions to make her more comfortable would be greatly appreciated (both by her and by the mommy who has been up since 2:30am!)

    I find that the swing is the best place for Julianna to sleep when she is sick.  Plop it right next to the humidifier and slap that vicks on her.  She will be good.

    I'm so sorry! Poor baby Poor Mommy! Try a warm bath, and putting the baby rub on the bottom of her feet w/socks. Also- lots and lots of saline nose drops followed by the snot sucker- once an hour. Trust me- this helps with the cough ALAHT!

    And some Tylenol PM for you!! Hope she feels better soon!

    I agree with PP suggestion of a warm bath.  I use California Baby Cold and Flu Aromatherapy Bubble bath when Chase is feeling under the weather.  I use saline, snot sucker, bubble bath, then follow up with the snot sucker again.  If I do this right before bed, he sleeps much better.  I hope your LO feels better soon so you can both get some rest.
