NBR Clicky: WWYD?

When we planned our elopement we wanted to have a party sometime this year to celebrate with all our extended family and friends who were not at the reception (it was only our immediate family and very closest friends). We recieved and offer on our house that looks like it is going to go through.  The thing is the buyer is asking if we might want to rent the house from them for 3-6 months (based on when they will be moving to Austin) which is great for us. At first we thought that we would do a housewarming/wedding party combined in our new house but now that we might be staying for a while we are thinking maybe just a wedding party.  Should we wait until we are in the new house and combine?  Should we just do it now?  Or is it stupid to have a wedding party at all?  WWYD?  [Poll]

    I won't choose option three because it's harsh, but you've already had your reception.  I would skip the wedding party and just do a BBQ GTG.

    I should have said that will be a BBQ informal thing at our house.  We are not fancy type of people I just don't know what to call it.

    If I wanted to have a party in the next 3-6 months I would do that, and then if I wanted to have another one when we got a new house I would do that.  I would not have another celebration of my wedding or a housewarming.

    If it were me, I would skip the wedding party and have a housewarming party once moved into the new house.  The few times I've been invited to a 2nd reception is when the couple's wedding was a destination wedding and they didn't invite many people.

    This. We had an after party following our destination wedding and no one seemed to "get" it. DH and I both wish we would've saved that money and skipped the second celebration.
