I feel like we will go with Pampers but not sure what kind to get--I gather for newborn but I'm sure this all hinges on her weight..Then there is sensitive, swaddlers..good grief! LOL..What does everyone else plan to use?
DH and I wanted to go a more affordable and environmentally friendly route so we are going to try cloth diapers. I think we are going to go with FuzziBunz first. They are super cute! I am hoping that they are easy to adjust to. We will see though! lol
Ive heard good things about the pampers swaddlers for newborns since they have the wetness indicator too. We are going to just try a variety as all my friends have liked different brands for their little ones. Some people hate the target brand and some love them so we aren't really sure of what we will use!!
honestly at different times different diapers worked for us. you switch it up. Hughes. I heard LUVs are good but they don't sell them in Canada anymore.Pampers. and I also heard depending on sex of baby.
From parents before me, I've been told the pampers are really good since they have the blue line (which shows up when wet - won't show for poop though) - i think these are the swaddlers. As well, I was told make sure to get the N (newborn) ones for the first while, because the 1 (for up to 14lbs or something) are quite a bit larger still.
I also wanted to try the pampers swaddlers but dh decided on huggies at least for the newborn since they have a cutout for the umbilical cord instead of having to fold or be careful with it ... makes it easier so we are going to try those at least in the beginning...
I wouldn't go buying a bunch of any one brand of diapers before you know what your baby will be able to use. Some diapers dont' work for some kids and some even have allergies to one brand or another. Pampers and Walmart/Target brands made my son break out in an awful rash. We can only use Luvs or Huggies.
Honestly it's really going to depends on your baby. We loved Pampers swaddlers, they had the notch at the top for the belly button stump. We also tried Huggies newborn but it gave my son a rash and they leaked terribly. After he was out of newborn size we switched to Luvs. He was in Luvs up until he was potty trained at 3. They were the best diapers by far. Amazon has a subscribe and save feature (not as good as it use to be) which can save you some on diapers, plus they ship it to your door.
We used pampers with DS while he was a newborn because that's what they used in the hospital. But after a couple months we tried luvs because they're cheaper and we used those until he moved onto pull ups. We loved the price of luvs and every other brand leaked for DS.
