Work(less) stress

I love being a Hygienist, I hate that the only jobs recently are across the state (2 hours from me). I can't leave the state (stbxh won't let me- I have family in FL, TX, and NM who would be willing to help me), and to get my license in another state is more $$ than I have right now.

I've been thinking of trying to relocate towards boston (where the jobs are), but the idea scares me sh!tless. I don't have anyone out there, and I've never been a city girl.

I'm starting to wonder if I went to school for the wrong thing, and if I should go back, but for what?

Re: Work(less) stress

  • You don't have to live in Boston to be able to work there. I grew up about 25 miles outside of the city and my father commuted in each day. I think it makes sense to go where you can find work and although I know nothing about hygenists its seems like it would pay enough to live comforably and you have already sunk the money into it. So go find work and establish yourself in a new community.
