We got this one for Christmas and it's great! It does rice, steams veggies, and works as a slow cooker. We steam fresh green beans in it at least once a week. It also has a delay timer so your brown rice can soak for a few hours, then be ready at dinner time.
All rice cookers cook brown rice. It is just recommended that you let the brown rice soak a little longer before cooking.
We have a Cuisinart one that also steams veggies but we NEVER use that feature. We prefer to steam veggies on the stove.
We have a cuisinart one too - but we're opposite - we primarily use it to steam veggies and only occasionally use it for rice. I like that the steamer basket stores inside when not in use, and that the electrical cord is retractable. We use ours prob 2x per week for the last 4 yrs without any issues.
we have the breville one that has a steamer basket. I used it a few times when I was doing baby foods and didn't feel like paying attention to a pot on the stove. It was nice. We also have one of those mini rice cookers that we use more often for making rice, because there's only a couple of us (and the baby). For the record, I cook brown rice this way, it's super easy:
