Did anyone get a night nurse when you had your baby? We didn't do it for DD, but I'm considering it for #2 because DH has already warned me that, while he can be helpful the first week, he will be less helpful the second week (and beyond) because that's his busy time at work.
Any experiences or thoughts on this? I would just envision someone who gets up with the baby in the night for feedings, probably just for week 2 to let me have a little more recovery time.
Also, if anyone has a nurse they used that you would recommend, let me know!
Thanks!
Re: Night nurse?
I don't have any experience with this, but I know a lot of twin mom's get night nurses and say it is immensely helpful. Even if you're BFing, it's helpful. Some night nurses will even do light housework during the night if they're already up with a baby.
I'm 99% sure I've seen recommendations for night nurses on the DCUrban Mom forums, so I'd check over there.
I have a few friends who got help after the baby. One friend used these two companies:
https://www.mommacoach.com/ (She said she really connected with Beth and Mary).
https://www.motherandbabymatters.com/ (She had Terri and Jacquese and said they were both great)
Another friend used a woman named Beatrice from Baltimore (but she travels in the DC Metro area). She stayed with them for the first 10 days. I just PMed you her number.

I am not sure if they do "night" nursing, but they might be able to refer you to a company that does.
