It's the month. It's officially been one year since our first BFP where I was so incredibly naiive and thought everything would go well. Little did I know.. Ugh!
Anyway, I'm debating skipping the OB all together for testing and going straight to the RE. My insurance only covers testing so after that we're 100% OOP for me and covered for DH since he has different insurance.
I did the online "new patient information" questionaire for the RE this morning and got a phone call from them within the hour.
I'm sorry I've been AWOL lately. I haven't had the strength to offer much support and have spent awhile just wallowing and feeling sorry for myself. I think of you all often and have been crossing everything that you all are on PGAL soon!
Re: WWYD: RE or OB? and apology
If you don't need a referall to the RE (to help you choose or for insurance purposes) I would definitely move straight to the RE.
I have found that when I comes to infertility and getting you pregnant the RE will know SO much more than your OB, and be so much more proactive. Also, to me it made sense to have all my testing done with one doctor, instead of starting with my OB and having to switch at some point, and possiblity have to repeat tests. If your insurance covers testing it shouldn't matter if you are seeing an OB or RE.

Thank you. I don't need a referral for insurance purposes and there are only two well-known RE locations in the greater Pittsburgh area. I've heard good things about one and bad about the other, so the choice hasn't been tough.

Don't worry- I think we all go through cycles of grief and times we don't can't feel supportive.
I would still go to your OBGYN for your annual if you're due. Otherwise, I think going straight to an RE for testing would be wise. Good luck to you!

You know, I was bragging about all of you over dinner last night to DH. He thinks its great I have such a wonderful support group. So huge group ((hug)) to all of you.
I just got off the phone with the RE - sweetest receptionist ever, she is so friendly! I have an appointment on the 13th for our initial consultation with Dr. Erb (https://www.ivfpittsburgh.com/dr_teresa_erb_md.html).
I told the receptionist that my insurance will only cover what's coded as recurrent pg loss and she said that shouldn't be a problem and to talk to my doctor about what insurance will cover at the consultation.
