I hate my computer

DH got me a HP netbook 2 years ago because I was using his far too often. He also has an HP but a laptop version. Well now both of them suck. The netbook crashes all the time and I just really can't do anything on it. I'm better off on my iphone than this.

His laptop works great but it gets too hot when it's running and just shuts off. We've tried all sorts of cooling pads none really work. I've checked warranties and recalls. I think we just need to get rid of both and get a mac since DH has a work laptop he uses now too. There's really no point to this post. I just am really frustrated with the netbook right now.

    I know. We need a computer that lasts longer than 2 yrs.

    My HP randomly changes screen colors.  Sometimes it is normal (right now, fingers crossed) but most times it has a teal, blue, or pink hue all over!  Mine is only about two years old also.  Maybe HPs weren't meant to last!

    They must not. It was such a great computer in the beginning but they went downhill fast.

    HP's are decent brands.. netbooks in general suck. Overall, they are made with cheap components/lower end parts. I have an HP laptop that I've had for almost 2 years, my mom's HP lasted about 3 before she cracked the screen, and my little brother's Compaq (made by HP) is chugging along 4 years later.

    Define crashing, are you getting a blue screen with an error message? Other errors?   If you have all your stuff backed up on it, have you tried doing a factory restore? 

     

    eta for the laptop: Have you tried blowing out the unit with canned air?

    I have an Hp mini n thought that it would be good for school NOT!!!! It slowly became worse by the months n now having it for two years its slow n shuts off

    BTW: When I get my taxes back i will be  getting a new laptop n NOT!!! an Hp again
