I feel like I went months without any questions or problems and now I have like a zillion...
What kind of bras are you wearing these days? I feel like the underwire is making my rib pain worse. I sit at my desk and lean forward all day and the bottom of my ribs are raw at the end of the day.
And does anyone else have pain after they empty their "full" bladder? It feels like my uterus gets hard and I can't stand up until it loosens up. It usually takes like 20 seconds.
Re: I'm just full of questions...
I am in love with the underarmour sports bra with the 'men's underwear looking bottom part' I don't know the exact type or name, but they have been lifesavers for me... they don't give me the super uniboob look for a sports bra and that soft botton no underwire has been heaven!
The bladder thing I would ask my doctor about-- it could be an infection! I hope not!
Yes... It is the worst when my bladder is full! I never considered it being related to bh. I can totally see the similarities now... Thanks!
And I don't think it's an infection... My pee tests come back good and it doesn't hurt to pee. I will mention it to my doctor tho.
I'm just wearing Target sports bras but co-signing with LilyP on the peeing thing. It's getting more and more painful and LO puts more pressure down there. Before if I let my bladder get too full is the only time it hurt. Now smaller and smaller amounts cause the pain. And I was also tested since this started happening and am infection free!
They're definitely BH related. I used to get that towards the end of my pregnancy, it would become awkward, but not quite painful, after emptying my bladder and when I let my bladder get too full.
As for the bras I was wearing normal bras towards the end of my pregnancy but it was incredibly uncomfortable because my chest cavity expanded and they were too tight. If you end up purchasing any bras and plan on BFing I would really look into nursing bras or tank tops and avoid anything with underwires or sports bras as (I've read that) they can inhibit milk coming in.
I've been wearing sports bras everyday since the beginning. I save my underwire bras for when I need to look presentable (I wear scrubs so the sports bras are OK for work). The underwires are so uncomfortable, plus I don't even know what size I am anymore!
I get BH before and after I pee. It's worse if I really have to go. It can feel quite uncomfortable and I feel like I can't stand up straight; I bet that's what is going on with you.
I'm still wearing regular bras so far. When I went to my breastfeeding class, though, she said to go ahead and start wearing your nursing bras to get them "broken in" before baby gets here. Mine came in the mail today, so I'll start wearing them as soon as they're washed!
When I was at the hospital last week being monitored, the nurse actually came in and asked me if I needed to pee - she said she'd seen a spike in my contractions. Apparently a too-full bladder can cause BH. I haven't experienced the pain after peeing, though.
I get that before and while peeing as well and my OB says its BH.
I am still wearing my pre-pregnancy bras. Unfortunately, my boobs have not grown at all yet! Do you have any sports bras that you can wear?
Welcome to the world, Baby W: born on 3/8/12 @ 3:49pm - 8lb 11 oz, 22 in.
I have a ton of sports bras but I work in an office and they don't look good with my work attire... I have some of those "one size fits all" bras that's I may start wearing.
You think it's time to get nursing bras? I don't know what size to get...
