Valley Pedi or Riverside Pedi--experience w/ either

We are deciding on a pediatrician for our baby who is due in March.  We live in Old Greenwich, delivering at Greenwich Hospital.  We've visited Valley Pediatric and really liked Dr. Juan.  Also visited Riverside and liked Dr. Rascoff, also liked that Riverside has evening hours until midnight and weekends too.  However, I feel like an interview can only tell part of the story.  Anyone have any experience with either of these practices?  Please tell me the good, the bad, whatever....

  • Funny enough, I just booked a meet & greet with Dr. Juan - he's booked until March just for a meet and greet - which I guess is a good sign.  Do you mind sharing what you liked about Dr. Juan?

I'm also going to see Dr. Schiz at Children's Medical.

  • I felt very comfortable talking to him and found his demeanor to be calming and reassuring. He seems to really, want to educate parents about their, child's health and development--this seems like a given for a pedi but some are just rushing in and out of the exam room without barely answering a question. As a Ftm, I am sure will have lots of questions so a patient dr is important to me. Also the, office seems really responsive--I've called a couple times with questions and a nurse always returned my call within an hour. He talked a lot about individualized care and getting to know patients personally. He is also well regarded by many parents I've talked to, was hoping to get, some feedback on here but this,is a slow board!
