when did you/will you start feeding any type of table food? My DS has been on baby food for 2.5 months now. He is on stage 2s. I was wondering when you start letting them nibble on beginner table foods. What did/will you start them on?
Hi there - I started by LO on puffs around 7 months to get the hang of chewing. Since then its been finger foods of baked/boiled carrots, chunks of sweet potatos, canned peas rinsed very well, I cook up some apples/pears and chunk them up for her, I have also bought the small cups of diced fruit (just make sure you get the packed in water versions!) She really likes turkey/gravy/mashed potatos, lasanga, anything that is soft and small that she can chew up, we are 9MO and no teeth yet!

We started giving DD puffs at about 6mo and she LOVES them! Now at 7mo she can pick them up and get it into her mouth by herself. We give her puffs every night before/after her dinner. I also started giving her a mum-mum 'cracker' during the day and again she absolutely loves them.
I will probably start giving her very tender veggies to feed herself soon as well.

We started with puffs around 6.5 months. We now offer diced veggies or fruit at every meal but he still gets purees also. He will eat the table food out of our hands, but rarely picks it up himself (though he does pick up the puffs). I think I am cutting the pieces too small but I'm afraid of choking.

My little guy started getting puffed brown rice around 6 months, and then around 7 months he started slowly eating whatever I have had. He has tried pasta, soups, sweet potatoes, green beans, green bell peppers, bananas, apples, banana pancakes, spaghetti squash, plain toast, waffles, cheese slices, yogurt... that's all I can think of at the moment. He pretty much eats whatever I eat now, on top of nursing, and he will be 9 months in a few weeks.
