Ideas for picky eater?

DD is a super picky eater.  I have not found a fruit she likes, the only veggie she will usually eat is white potatoes and while she will eat most meat, it's unpredictable which ones on which days.  She is allergic to dairy which makes the trick I used for DD1 of covering foods with cheese impossible.   She is also allergic to peanuts and has no interest in the alternatives.  I swear the kid would live on crackers and french fries.  Ideas or suggestions?

Re: Ideas for picky eater?

  • My DD loves hummus on toast or with veggies. Also, scrambled eggs, french toast, pancakes, and waffles are a good option for breakfast. My DD also loves whole wheat pasta with olive oil or butter, sprinkled with a little parmesan cheese, and I'll also add some peas to it. If she picks them out, fine, but often times she will eat them too. I always just offer a veggie and after a while she has started being more adventurous. She loves soup too!
