What do you think of the new ballet flats? Anyone know if they're in stores yet or if they're online only? Anyone have a pair already? What do you think?
I'm thinking a shoe purchase may be just the thing to improve this fantastically rotten day, but I want them NOW.
For the record, I'm coveting this pair.

Ditto. The last two pairs I ordered were both size 7. One pair fit perfectly and one pair was humungo.

Oh, don't you EVEN lump Uggs and Toms in with Crocs. DON'T YOU EVEN.

I just ordered this pair: https://www.toms.com/lina-woven-ballet-flats . I was going to wait a while yet, but I noticed this particular style is already selling out, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger.
I think you should go for it! But I'm always on board for buying new shoes, so...
;-)
Haha. Yeah, I do. Sorry.
I think the pair you're eyeballing are really cute, and now I want a pair for myself.
However, when I need a shoe fix, just ordering and waiting doesn't provide the instant gratification I seek. Of course, the last time I was jonesin' for shoes, I went straight to Rack and bought a pair of silver sequined ballet flats that made my inner elementary school girl "squeeee!", so your mileage may vary.

Hmm... so now that I see some are selling out online, I'm compelled to buy some NOWNOWNOW.
But I'm a little confused now - so if I'm say, a 6.5 - 7 in real shoes, and then a 6 in regular Toms, does that mean I'm a 5.5 in Toms Ballet Flats? Or does that mean stick with 6 as my Toms size?
Or really, can I just say it doesn't matter and its all a crapshoot?
For the Record - I do the same as Guava and just hop on down to DSW. I got some super cute Rocket Dog flats a couple of weeks ago.
TOMS Ballet Flats @ Nordstrom on February 17th! You can pre-order at Nordy's or order them online at TOMS.
I hate the other TOMS shoes, but I love these flats.
Those are my second favorite pair. Seriously. If the burlap aren't as cute live as they are on the website, I may be coming after the Linas.
I'm worried about them selling out, too. I'm so picky about shoes. I almost missed out on my most favoritist wedges ever because they sold out on the website and they were the only color of TOMS wedge I liked. Thankfully I lucked into them at Whole Earth Provision Co. Am I willing to risk it now?
Decisions, decisions....
Do it...just order them...you know you want to... :-9
I agree with you 100%. They're not as ugly as crocs (and the ballet flats are pretty cute) but I don't see what all the fuss is about. The regular style is pretty fugly, IMO. I can't justify the price either.
Youre not alone. I'm not a fan.
I will say that I like the concept of "buy a shoe, give a shoe." That is pretty neat, both from a marketing standpoint and a charitable standpoint.
OK I thought it was just me. I had a pair size 8.5 that I loved but they ripped after a month of use. Went in to exchange them, and got another 8.5 and they are WAY too small. I am considering taking them back to Nordstrom's but I thought it was just that my feet were fat from being pregnant.
I'd rather just give a shoe than own some that ugly. Sorry, I'm not a fan either.
