I went to the dermatologist to have a skin cancer screen and she biopsied a suspicious mole on my back last week. The doctor called just now to tell me the results. I was so freaked out at first but fortunately it was caught early enough that once its removed I don't have to worry (about that spot). I'm now in the high risk category though and am cursing myself for all the sun damage I have done.

What did your mole look like? Why did you find it suspicious??
I found a new mole on my back during this pregnancy. Looks ok to me, but deff freaked me out. (small, round, not bumpy, etc.)
I just want to compare to make sure I can take the right steps too, just in case.
The reason why I haven't thought much of it is because I have read that during pregnancy moles can appear.
So happy that you got yours checked out and got taken care of early! T&P!!
Its kind of in the middle of my back so I have no idea to be honest. I have had some skin issues in the past (basal cell carcinoma) due to frequent sun burns as a child (a So. Fla. native). In any event, the dermatologist said it was suspicious so she biopsied it.
I think some of the signs are that it is larger than a pencil eraser, not symmetrical and has different colors or has changed in a short period of time. I hope that helps.
@Elf, that is so scary. I am glad your H is okay and that it was caught fairly early.
If I had only known the damage I was doing!
