Buffalo home phone

Who do you use? DH is furious with me because my cell ringer was off this am and I didn't pick up his call. Oh the horror. So we finally need to hook up a home phone.

    Verizon.  It's crazy expensive for just a land-line (almost $67 a month).

    We did have Vonage, but we were having problems with the switching between Vonage in 716 and traditional phone lines in 315 area code.  (I would get circuit busy all the time when I tried calling...and my boss would get it calling me.)  Since my family and my office are both in 315...it wasn't working for us.

    Ugh - it IS so expensive. I just got off the phone with Time Warner. And to bundle with everything we already have it'll be about $20 extra a month. I'm assuming this will be cheaper than signing up with someone else. I hope they don't SUCK.

    We have vonage and don't have any complaints.  We originally got a special rate for like 2 years and it was only $14 a month I think.  With taxes and fees it was about $20.  That 2 year promotion ended and now we are up to around $30 which reminds me I should call and negotiate another promotion.

    oh and it is unlimited nationwide and with some international countries as well.  We don't have any issues with 315 to 716.  All of my family is in the finger lakes so we do use it  to call there a lot (although I mostly use my cell for convenience).
