Did you all know about Sick Daycare???

I just found out that there is something called sick daycare!  It's $8 per hour in my area. Well worth it for me since I missed work yesterday, DH is missing work today and LO is still not better so it looks like sick day care for him tomorrow.

Anyway this is more of an FYI post in case you ladies have never heard of it either.

    I never heard of that! What is the other kids are sick with something your LO doesn't have like if one has a cold and one has chicken pox?

    Never heard of that abut sounds like a nice option. Our daycare has a sick room with a nurse on staff, one of the few perks of a hospital run daycare.

    This sounds awesome!  I wish we had that option!  Thankfully I can work from home if I have to, though it's not ideal.

    Its a nice perk, but the mom guilt of sending your poor baby all snotty and gross is unreal.  I felt like a horrible person all day.

    Yes there are 3 sick daycares in our area.  Each are at major hospitals.  There are nurses as the DC staff and you must provide shot records and statment of health for your child to "attend"  you can give less than 24 hrs notice.

    Eh I'm not worried about that.  That to me is like saying "I am worried my child my p/u something else when they are admitted to the hospital"  ...  possible but also possible in regular DC

    Yeah that seems like a nice hospital.  My allergist is there.  If LO goes to sick DC tomorrow I will "report" back on our experince.

    I didnt know about the sick daycares in our area, but I was perusing my employee handbook the other day and saw that my company will reimburse me half of sick daycare costs...
