Bday party - movie vs. music (and a Spotify q)

DD is going to have a Rapunzel (Tangled) birthday theme.  We're having a family party at home (she'll take some best friends to Build A Bear separately).  MrsWhite's post made me think, I always do a slideshow on our TV of the past year in photos.

However, I was thinking of possibly having the movie Tangled playing on Netflix, or I could play the soundtrack through Spotify (I have an awesome Bluetooth speaker) while I run the slideshow on the Wii/TV.  Too distracting to have the movie running during the party?

Also - Spotify users - any input on this?  Do I need a premium acct to have a playlist?  Or is that just to download?

    I know nothing about spotify but if you want to have the movie playing in the background on a loop- I think thats fine. goes with the theme...
