I'm a FTM so 2+ timers might have different answers. I've had four doctor's appointments and one ultrasound. DH has come with me every time. Despite very pregnant women and a packed waiting room, DH is always the only guy there. Does your DH go with to appointments?

Re: DH and doctors' appointments
So far, he has been to all of them. He wants to be at all of them too, and I do my best to arrange appointments so they're convenient for both of us.
The only problem is that DH is a detective, and is at risk for being called out at a moment's notice for a case (including some of his regular days off). We've been lucky so far, but it's possible something could come up that forces him to miss an appointment (and we've already had a "close call" where he wasn't sure he'd be able to come until the very last minute).

I am a FTM too. DH comes to my appointments as long as he is not working. He wants to.
I told him to stay home for the blood work only appointments since it only takes about 10 minutes total.
I've seen 2 other men in the waiting room so far.
DH has been to all of mine so far, but I won't make him come to all of them. With DS he came to the ones we did u/s or b/w (b/c i am a chicken with needles - well used to be at least). Some of the appointments I don't feel it's necessary for DH to come.
DH comes to the "big ones". 1st OB appointment, a/s and birth. I don't make him come to all the others. They're just quickies.
This is our situation. DH came for the first "confirmation" appointment, where we also had a US (at 5 weeks, so I don't know why), then came to a second U/S-only appointment at 7w, skipped my next regular checkup and pap smear at 10w, came at 14w to hear the heartbeat and will come on Monday for 18w and anatomy scan. Beyond that, I doubt he'll come to any more appointments unless we get another US for some reason. DH has almost always been the only guy there. I think we've seen one other guy one time.
DH has been to 1 so far and will be at the a/s in two weeks and probably at least one more before the birth. I know he has some questions/concerns for my OB so he always knows when my appointments are but if he can't make them, he can't make them!
At my appointment yesterday there was a pregnant mom with 3 little boys with her. They were relatively well behaved but all I could picture was them playing with the stirrups or a speculum.

DH only goes to u/s appointments with me. He works about 45 min away from home - and same distance from the doc - so I told him not to bother with the regular OB appts because they're in-and-out and not worth his time away from work.
But last pregnancy, I was high-risk and had literally 21 ultrasounds. He only came to the "big" ones (a/s, NT, fetal echo, and a few toward the end that were diagnostic).
My sister goes to the same OB as me and is 5 weeks ahead of me in pregnancy, so she tells me what to expect at each appointment. My OB did u/s at the first two appointments, DH came. DH also came to the NT scan and the amnio and will come to the a/s. However, my since my OB only does u/s in the 1st tri, he is no longer coming to my monthly visits since nothing exciting happens at those (the NT and a/s are at the hospital).
I have to say, most people in the waiting room have their husbands with them.

DH went to almost every appointment, u/s and, nst with DD. This time around he has been to every u/s, but missed an appointment. I have monthly u/s and I always try and schedule my OB visit the same day, so when that happens he will come with. We have a home doppler so he doesn't need to go with just to hear the heartbeat. He will be at every u/s though. I think its great if the daddy to be goes with.
DH comes, well except for today. It was just a normal check up. He will be there at the next one for the ultrasound.
He came to most of mine with DD including one NST, he was so bored lol and even fell asleep!
He comes to ultrasounds.
The ones with blood pressure and pee in a cup and a how you doin'? no.
The Dr is 3 blocks from my place of work, so I go on my lunch break. He works farther. So I'd rather him save his vaca/sick/personal time to be with the kiddo than w/ me in the waiting room.

Lost my dear husband, October 3, 2012. You are the bear of my heart dear, and nothing can take that away.
H only comes to ultrasounds. Why on earth would he want to come watch me get a vaginal? Or get my blood drawn?
