Getting membranes stripped tomorrow! Nervous.

I know there's a post here every 2 seconds about getting stripped, but here's mine! I'm getting mine done tomorrow. Last week I was 1 cm dilated and 30-40 % effaced and she said my cervix felt really soft, like lips. I know that for a lot of women it doesn't work, but I everyone I know personally who has had it done went into labor 24-48 hours later. I'm nervous! About it all!

Good luck! I can just speak from my experience and say that I had mine stripped TWICE with our first daughter. Once at 38 weeks then again at 39 weeks. I didn't have her until I was 40 weeks (she was born on her due date).

Like you said, everyone reacts differently and I guess she was just too comfy to come out early. It's nothing to be nervous about, just a little uncomfortable/painful. Nothing comapred to labor! LOL! Not to scare ya or anything.

I had about 5 hours of labor with DD, then it stopped abruptly for 3 hours. Had my membranes stripped, and BAM! half an hour later my contractions came back and I had her 12 hours later. Good luck!

Ummm...we're like the same person. Same EDD and same plans for tomorrow's OB appointment...ha! Let's hope for the best!

had mine stripped at 40 weeks 5 days (being 3-4 cm at 40 weeks and a good 4 cm that morning)....went into labor later that evening and DS was born an hour later
