Warning Amazon Mom- venting

I'm really pissed off at Amazon Mom. A few months ago when my subscription ended with Amazon Mom and I cancelled, I signed DH email account up. Well with baby #2 birth right around the corner, DH and I decided to sign up for Amazon Prime under my name and I went ahead and canceled his amazon Mom account two weeks ago. Well yesterday I had a box of diapers sitting on my front step. As soon as I got inside I went into DH's email account (I also don't check his email on regularly) and I noticed that they had extended his Amazon Mom and proceeded to order the diapers and mail them to me. I obviously returned them got myself a refund, and complained. I canceled that account, why the heck would they keep sending me the diapers?? Anyway, I just wanted to warn everyone to double and triple check your subscriptions.

Re: Warning Amazon Mom- venting

  • That is a pain.  If you were subscribed you should have gotten an email letting you know that a shipment was coming, which would have had a link to cancel it if you weren't ready for them.  I'm forever hitting the cancel button on those emails and have never had a problem.

Also, do you even need to be a member of Amazon Mom to use subscriptions?  I'd thought they were two independent benefits, so the subscription wouldn't necessarily have been canceled just because the Amazon Mom subscription was.  But I could be wrong about that.

My problem was that I had not checked the email account in a week (oops). So I missed that link. I swear I had canceled the subscription all together. Obviously it's my fault for not looking hard enough. But it's annoying too.

No I don't think you have to be a member of Amazon mom to use the subscriptions. I think Amazon mom is just a added bonus (well it was until they decreased the savings).

  • Yeah, DH had to cancel a subscription twice before it went through.

  • I got the email that they were about to ship diapers, cancelled the shipment and my subscription, and still got the diapers and my account was charged for them. I was so mad, but luckily they have great customer service and they refunded my money immediately.
