Anyone else have nosebleed?

Hi Ladies,

This morning I was on the treadmill ( which is my usual routine every morning) a walk on the treadmill. So this morning I was nearing the end of the walk and my nose started to bleed. I was surprised because I rarely ever get nosebleeds.

My first thought was to make sure my blood pressure was fine because I had pre-e with our first baby. My blood pressure was 106/55. My heartrate 73. That was right after the treadmill seconds of getting off.

I have a call out to my OB just to run it by them. It stopped alot sooner than I thought considering I am on LDA for hx of pre-e.

But I wanted to ask you ladies on the board, if you too have had nosebleeds and is it a symptom of pregnancy?

I am thinking it's probably related to the cold weather and the air in the house being drier than usual because of the heat. A humidifier might do good at bed time!

I've had a few mild nosebleeds. According to what I've read and my OB, it's pretty normal.

I had a few nosebleeds, I found sleeping with a humidifier has helped and haven't had one since. I got a Holmes Warm Mist one for $30 at Target.

No nosebleeds but I have had many day with bloody boogers(sorry for tmi). Like PP said my doc said it's normal.

I had a few in the beginning but, like a PP mentioned, I sleep with a humidifier on now and haven't had one since. I think it's combo of pregnancy and dry winter air for me. I've read/heard it's perfectly normal becuase you blood volume increases so much when you get pregnant.

I've had it once and my dr. told me that it's normal, dont' worry about it.

I just got one yesterday morning on my drive into work. It's very common during pregnancy.

I do, but it's not uncommon for me to get them in the winter time anyway as it's dry like the Gobi desert here. A humidifier at night will help.

I get them everyday.. not always bad ones, but when I blow my nose its blood. I had this with DS#1 too

I just had my first ever nosebleed this morning. DH and I were in the car on our way to the gym. What a pain, but from what I understand they are common in pregnancy. I just hope I don't start getting them more often.

I get them too! It's normal...also bloody gums when I brush my teeth.

....I've had them a few times a week, ever since late in the 1st trimester. Definitely a pregnancy symptom - if you're blowing your stuffy nose a lot (due to increased mucus production), it will weaken the blood vessels in your nose. Paired with your increased blood flow, nose bleeds are easier to get when pregnant.

I was having them daily. I started sleeping with a humidifier in my room and that seemed to help alot!

I have been getting nosebleeds every morning when I wash my face. It began at 16 weeks. They are moderate, but occasionally they are really bad. I think it's all normal b/c our blood volume is increasing.
