OT - If you already filed your taxes and are expecting a refund

When did you/are you expecting your refund? When did you file? I saw on the news that it could take an extra one or two weeks now because of some new system? We don't depend on this money so it isn't too much of a big deal but I was just curious as to what everyone else has heard. Thanks!

We filed last week. We were told we'd get ours in 7-14 days, so we were told Feb 7 we can expect our money. After we filed, DH heard the same as what you said here. We are depending on this money to break us out of a hard financial state, so I'm sure hoping we get it on time.

We filed last week too and were supposed to have our money on the 1st. I got an email saying it would be delayed about a week. I went on irs.gov and checked the Where's my refund link and it says to expect it by Feb. 7th.

Filed 01/17, received 01/25. I think we dodged the delay by a few days, though.

It depends on how you file. Usually if you e-file you will always get it back faster. Also some places have guaranteed time frames that you have to get your money by. It takes 2 to 3 weeks for paper checks to be mailed anyways. It really just depends.

You're all making me jealous

. We actually have to pay this year (the money I make isn't pretaxed) about as much as we made in a refund last year. Good thing it was essentially sitting in our savings account all year, but I was really hoping to have that money around for a little safety blanket.

We e-filed last week & were given Feb.3rd as our date. Haven't checked on it since but will now! We were part of the group that really got screwed with delays last year

They have a year to get ready, you'd think they could manage to get it right!

We e-filed on 01/20 and haven't received our refund yet. They originally gave us today as our refund date, but when DH checked the status last night it said to expect it by 02/14. Bah.

On Yahoo, there was a story about it. it said it affects claims filed before 1/26.

If you check with the IRS website, they have a chart online that tells you when to expect your refund based on the date that you filed...

We e-filed and used TaxCut online to do our taxes. They provided us with the links. A lot of states have a similar website as well.

We filed online to and go the same websites, but we are in california. I just filed them today, it said we should have them by the 15th of this month. Don't need the money as most of it is going to go into our savings account anyways, and pay off a couple bills.

We filed on the first day possible (I think the 18th) and received our refund yesterday. We filed through H&R Block's software program.
