Last weeken DH & I watched it. It was good. Long, but good. And it left me with a few questions.
Harriet is alive and living as Anita (or whatever her name is) where is Anita? Yes, I know that she died in car accident with her husband. But where was she for the past 30 (vs 40) years? But who's name did who use for the time they were both alive? And I know she was married & could use husbands name, but was she married at 16???
Also for the next 2 books/movies... Are the same main actors in them? So she is also the girl who kicked the bee's nest (or whatever, haven't read the book) just wondering if the focus is on her or him?
Dont hesitate to "spoil" something if you know something that leads to spoiler...
*TIA I am not working today so probably won't be bumping as much to see answers.
Re: Girl with dragon tattoo *SPOILER****** I have a ?
Hmm...I haven't seen the movie. But in the book the real Anita was alive. She was never married. Harriet was married using Anita's name. Thus Anita was "married" But since her "husband" was actually Harriet's husband, Anita told her family that her and her "husband" were separated and thats why they never saw him. In the book they weren't married until their 20s.
I've only read the first and second book but yes, all the characters are the same. Harriet and family are mentioned but not the focus.
I can't really answer your first question well, because that was different in the movie. In the book, both are alive and Anita actually does call Harriet after Blomkvist tells her Martin is dead (and taps her phone). In the movie, when she doesn't call, this is when Blomkvist decides Anita = Harriet. I think all they really said (in the movie) was that after she died, Harriet was free to use her identity/maiden name. I'm not sure of the marriage timing, etc.
Yes, it's the same people. The second book focuses a lot more on Lisbeth.
