I've been trying forever to get DS to crawl, I'm sure at this point he's going to be one of those babies who just DON'T crawl.
He has no problem getting around though. He rolls, and can pivot on his back and belly. He's easily crossed a room to get a toy he's wanted by doing this.
Any time I try to encourage him to do something, he fights me on it.
EX: Today I placed his bottle in front of him (to the side) about 2 feet away. He was hungry and wanted it and showed interest. He pivoted towards me and the bottle then started just flailing and whining. As if wanting me to just pick him up.
Losing interest in the bottle he pivots the other way and rolls two feet the opposite direction to get a toy he wanted. WTH kid!?!?! He's rolled both ways, so I don't understand why he wouldn't just get the bottle? He does this with toys I try to do this with too. Can a baby be just plain stubborn? I don't think so but my mom thinks that's what it is.
ETA: He also refuses to sit. He will sit for a second then push his bum out from under him forcefully.
