Pregnant Questions
1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Wk. 23, fighting a nasty cold. Pregnancy wise, I feel pretty good though.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 2/9, regular check up
3. What are you looking forward to this week? nothing too exciting happening this week.

5. How far out are you scheduling your OB/MW appointments ahead of time? Just to 40wks, or are you scheduling them to 41 or 42 and planning to cancel 'em if need-be? I schedule about 2 months out, because my OB is only in the office 2 days/wk. I would have scheduled to 41 or 42 wks. if I hadn't had a planned c/s last time. I will schedule that far out this time, it is so much easier to just cancel.
6. For those with more than one LO, what did you do/are you doing to prepare your older children for the new baby? Lucy has been obsessed with babies since she met her 2 mo. old cousin last summer. She has her own baby doll that she loves. We talk every day about Baby Sister. Whatever we're doing, I try to incorporate that soon, we're going to get to do that with baby sister too!! She gets super excited, so hopefully she'll stay happy about it once Baby Sister is actually here. We also have stopped using the term baby in reference to Lucy. She's quite proud of being a "Big Kid" now and will correct anyone who calls her a baby.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? Week 13. I thought I'd feel better by now, with my last pregnancy at 12 weeks I felt fantastic! I'm still exhausted, and have an uneasy stomach.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? 2/24 regular visit
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Super Bowl

5. How far out are you scheduling your OB/MW appointments ahead of time? Just to 40wks, or are you scheduling them to 41 or 42 and planning to cancel 'em if need-be? Right now I am scheduling then after each appt, I'm not sure if that will change later down the road or not.
6. For those with more than one LO, what did you do/are you doing to prepare your older children for the new baby? I bought T a "Big brother shirt" and a Big Brother book that we read a lot. He plays with baby dolls at school, and sees a baby there ever week. We also talk about it a lot. What he can expect, he's just so excited it doesn't matter if we tell him the baby will cry a lot and poop a lot.
7. Where is everyone delivering? OB or midwife? I'm about 300 miles away from most of you, I'll be delivering at Sacred Heart hospital in Spokane. Really wish I was having this baby at the Pavillion in Everett.

4. Monday confession? I am very thankful for family that helped me get through a stressfull situation last week and make healthy decisions for myself. It is just harder when you have a toddler and you are pregnant--I just cannot be completely perfect because my priorities are to my son and my pregnancy.
5. How far out are you scheduling your OB/MW appointments ahead of time? Just to 40wks, or are you scheduling them to 41 or 42 and planning to cancel 'em if need-be? ?sorelette---I have only scheduled Feb appt.. I normally follow what the obgyn will let me schedule and follow their lead.
6. For those with more than one LO, what did you do/are you doing to prepare your older children for the new baby?-greenmtbride--I am talking to my son about the new baby, and I am letting him touch my belly.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 6 weeks. I've started having a food aversion to chicken, and I'm getting up at night to pee. Other than, that not much.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Thursday we have our first ultra sound! We might not see much, it's just the dating ultra sound.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Superbowl Sunday
4. Monday confession? I had my first minor freak out about being pregnant. I started thinking about what we need to do in the next 7.5 months and got a little overwhelmed.

7. Where is everyone delivering? OB or midwife? -theresab I'm delivering at The Pavilion in Everett, and I'm using a midwife. The individualized care they provide really appealed to me.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 37 this week. TMI, losing my MP, lots of contrax.

3. What are you looking forward to this week? haircut/color on Wednesday and massage on Thursday. Hoping baby stays put so I can make those appts.

We're 38w4d today! No new aches/pains, but I've had a lot more BH than usual since my internal exam on Thurs, and lost (part of?) my MP. Whee!

Regular FF membership, but it was never my primary charting tool and I wasn't terribly impressed with it, tbh.
I use GoogleDocs' version of Excel... and I like it better than FF. I can code in my own new features, etc. :P

I did for #1, I thought the extra was worth it because I was temping. This time I wasn't temping so I didn't spring for it. They did have some discount related to their facebook page, but I didn't want that exposed so I never "liked" them.

3. What are you looking forward to this week? Getting a pedicure! My feet are so swollen and I can hardly reach them so they are looking pretty rough with my chipped polish.
4. Monday confession? I am secretly wishing baby might come 5 days early and be a 2.12.12 baby
5. How far out are you scheduling your OB/MW appointments ahead of time? I am just scheduled to 40 weeks for now (I scheduled all my weekly visits for my last month when I was at my 35 week appt I think)

cycle 7, waiting to O - AF started on Saturday (the day of our party), so IUI #1 didn't work.
2. What are you looking forward to this week? sort of excited to plan a Vegas trip.
3. Monday confession? Now that AF came I'm able to go to Vegas for my 30th bday, but right now I can't even be excited about it. It helped keep me de-stressed from thinking about if I didn't get preg. from the IUI, but now that it is a reality, it isn't helping much.

We have a lot of friends having second babies right now, so she's seen other little babies, pregnant ladies, etc. We've been talking about Baby Lane's room, how we're going to go on a trip to California with Mommy, Daddy, Laurel, and Baby Lane... It will be an adjustment no matter what.
7. Where is everyone delivering? OB or midwife? Evergreen. I'm with the remaining two midwives, so I'll probably be delivered by an OB. There's only one OB from their practice who I hope I don't get, so I think my odds are pretty good.

How far out are you scheduling your OB/MW appointments ahead of time? Just to 40wks, or are you scheduling them to 41 or 42 and planning to cancel 'em if need-be? My OB scheduled them through 40 weeks and then just scheduled my induction for 10 days later since I've had a really healthy pregnancy.
Where is everyone delivering? OB or midwife? I have an OB and will be delivering at Evergreen. I already want my next birth to be at a birthing center. Nothing against my OB or the hospital at all. It's just an experience I really want to have that was not feasible this time.

I liked VIP membership because it gave me some more information, and I was trying to absorb everything I could. Is it worth it? I don't know. I wish I could transfer my membership benefits to someone cause I paid for a year.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 28w5d. I have been miserable with the worst cold for 10 days now...finally got on antibiotics yesterday. I have a ton of round ligament pain from coughing so hard. Not fun.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Next appointment is in two weeks. Nothing special planned.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Getting over my cold and having a mini-maternity photo session on Saturday.

For those with more than one LO, what did you do/are you doing to prepare your older children for the new baby?-greenmtbride My question but we are talking about the baby a lot, Liam knows the baby's name, we have a book that talks about the baby coming. But he is still totally clueless about the reality of a newborn. I was thinking of taking him to a sibling class, but I think he's a bit young for what they talk about. We brought out the baby bottles and other baby items and that has been helpful too.
7. Where is everyone delivering? OB or midwife? -theresab I'm delivering at the Puget Sound Birth Center with the Lake Washington Midwives. I loved my previous birth experience there and can't wait to repeat it. We will have a doula and a birth photographer there too.

1. What week are you in? Any new aches or pains? 28 weeks. Nothing to complain about, but I get winded trying to walk and talk at the same time.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment? Glucose test tomorrow, yuck. Next appointment in a few more weeks, nothing special.
3. What are you looking forward to this week? Just enjoying being home. We got back from vacation on Friday and it's nice to get back to routines.
4. Monday confession? I was supposed to finish up some work at home last night but left my computer at the office. It was so nice to not be able to log in from home.

Week 26 I think I like to focus that I have 97 more days left though. Nothing new really. I feel pretty good. I just don't feel like I get meaningful sleep anymore and there are times when my stomach feels it is at full capacity so it's a little freaky to think that it has a lot more growing to do.
2. When is your next appointment? Will anything special happen at that appointment?
I have the 1 hour GTT next Tuesday and it is freaking me out because I choose to limit my sugar and refined carb intake already (just a lifestyle choice), and I worry that my body will not know what to do with that much sugar because I already eat the way they suggest people with GD eat.
3. What are you looking forward to this week?
I'm hoping to sign up for hypnobirthing classes, but really just the weekend!
4. Monday confession?
I am worried about how the first few weeks PP are going to be because my boy is at a high risk for Pyloric Stenosis because my husband and his father had it. I hate that this cannot be diagnosed at birth and that I will have to go home and spend my first few weeks on an even higher alert than other FTMs looking for symptoms and then possibly taking him in for ultrasounds and surgery. I know that this is fairly routine, but the idea of him being put under at only a few weeks old scares me and having to reestablish feedings at 4 or 6 weeks and deal with overnight hospital stays is lame. On the other hand I know to look for and a lot of babies get misdiagnosed until it is an emergency. I know that things could be much much worse, (like a long NICU stay), which is why this is a "confession", still sucks though!

I used FSA benefits for fertility treatments and never had any issues with my claims.

When you planned for long distance relatives visiting after baby arrives, are you asking them to come back to back, or giving yourself a week or so of alone time in between visitors (given that everyone wants to come at once, but I don't have the patience/accomodations/desire for that.

With my oldest I was scheduled out to 40 weeks (she was induced at 39 weeks so the 40 week one was cancelled) and my 2nd I had a scheduled induction just after 39 weeks so they only scheduled me through 39 weeks. Not sure what the plan is for this baby yet but my doc and I both agree about not going past 41 weeks so the latest appointment I would have would be 40 weeks I guess.

My older DD understands a lot more this time around. She calls the baby by name and knows baby sister is in mommy's tummy.

4. Monday confession? - When I was leaving a parallel parking spot on Monday, I backed up a little too far and lightly hit the car behind me. I got out to check to see if there was any damage to either car, noticed that nothing at all was wrong so I didn't leave a note.

Last time we just scheduled the next one at the end of each one and then scheduled the remaining ones when I hit the every 2 week mark.

For those with more than one LO, what did you do/are you doing to prepare your older children for the new baby?-greenmtbride This is a good question, My daughter is only 2 but when the baby arrives it will be days from her 3rd birthday (possibly on her birthday) Ive been talking to her about sisters and brothers and pointing them out when we go out to play. She has never been "an only child" Since she was born I nannied and her step brother is over frequently. I think she will do pretty well with the transition. Shes already been telling me when she sees a little sister. Its very cute.
