It's really happening...

Flight is booked. April 7th (66 days! EEEK!) the kids and I will be boarding a plane from Portland to Austin with my MIL to help and we will be moving to Austin. (DH and FIL are driving the moving truck down April 1) We still don't know where we're going to live. DH is going to come down end of Feb to find us a place. I'm so nervous and excited and sad all at the same time. It's just coming up so fast!

    Oh, April is GORGEOUS here. You'll love it. You should be just catching the tail of wild flower season (or, if all this rain keeps up, you'll be smack in the middle of it). GL with the move!

    good luck with the move! after watching portlandia, i think you'll find a lot of similarities here in austin. :) "just put a bird on it" and all will be ok.

    DH and I lived there for 8 months (April-Dec) back in 2007 and loved it! Just nervous to move with kids and not be working there etc. I still have a few friends that live there, but they all work. Just hoping to make some mom friends with kids my LOs' ages(ish) so we have people to hang out with. Smile

    My DH and I moved here from Boston about 3 years ago and didn't know a soul when we first moved ... and we've met a lot of really great friends since then!  There are so many young families here -- you will have no trouble at all meeting people with kids your age.  Do you have any idea which part of town you are looking to live?  Good luck with everything!

    I just read a couple of your blog posts...I could have written the pregnancy test one. Seriously sad I won't ever get that feeling again. Anyway...DH works in Round Rock so we'll be out your way whatever days we drop him off to take the car so we can definitely meet up. Smile YAY!
