NBR- Recommend your slippers

Just posting this makes me feel old, but here in Chicago its cold and I need a good pair! My sister got a pair of Ugg slippers for Christmas and I think I got jealous. They seem a little expensive but if others love them, I might give it a go.

  • I love my Wicked Good slippers from LL Bean.  They're warm, and the tread is great -- no slipping on our hardwood floors.

  • I have two pair of Dearfoams - boot style and slipper style (not exactly these, but similar)  I love them.  The boot style are great for really cold nights/days.

  • Very funny that you just posted this b/c I have had a life changing experience with slippers I just bought.  :) My feet are ALWAYS cold and I mean like ice cube cold.  It has been driving me crazy.  DH found some down almost sleeping bag like slippers at REI and they were on clearance 2 weeks ago when I bought them for $20.  They have literally changed my life.  My feet are nice and warm now--not hot but also not at all cold.  Perfect!  I wish I had found them years ago.  GL!

  • I really like my Acorn boiled wool slippers. Warm, comfy, not too bulky.
  • I absolutely love my duvet slippers from Brookstone. My hands and feet are always like ice, but sometimes my feet get too hot in these slippers. I have a backup pair unopened in case they ever stop making them. Sorry I can't find the link - on my phone.

  • Maybe it's the penny pincher in me - but I actually like the Target ones that are fuzzy but have a sole on the bottom. Comfy, warm and about $5 :)

  • And BTW, I consider this totally baby-related.  I asked for my slippers for Christmas shortly before C was born because I knew I would be getting out of bed a lot during the night, and maternity leave was going to be in the winter, and keeping my tootsies warm would just help me during the middle of the night nursing sessions and diaper changes and soothing times.  Smile

  • I have travel fleece slippers from llbean that i love (and so does DH and my mom). I've also used llbean knit slipper socks (leather bottom, knit sweater on top). they're also great.

  • I have Ugg slippers and they are amazing.  Expensive, yes, but well made so they will last awhile and they are super warm. Plus, they have a rubber sole so I can walk out to the mailbox in them without tearing them up.

I have Ugg slippers as well and they are worth every penny! I always look for them on sale - they were $37 on 6pm.com last week. Love them. I wear them year-round and pretty much every second that I'm in the house (we have hardwoods). I like the Scuffette style.
