Dishes for baby?

My baby boy will be starting solids soon so I'm looking for dishes for him. I will use glass jars for food storage, but what about plates, bowls, and utensils for him? Looking online, I haven't found many alternatives to plastic. I would think you'd need something that's not breakable since babies tend to throw things. What are my options?

You could go with stainless steel, wood or Corelle dishes which are very durable when dropped.

In addition, we went with the silicone coated spoons at first, then bamboo, now stainless steel kids silverware.

We use pyrex or corelle.

I just didn't give her dishes unsupervised until she understood not to throw them.

I had tried wood with my second but it was such a pain to keep up with. Now, I just don't give them a plate until I am sure that they won't chuck it on the floor. When they are ready for a plate/utensils, they just get what we use. I have seen the stainless ones that look pretty nice!
