Surprise BFP

Good evening! I had a feeling all day today that something was going on with my body. I came home from work and took two preg tests, one being a digital.....both were positive.

This was not planned, and not what I had in mind.

We are 25, established careers, just built a new house and were planning on waiting 2 or so more years.

Well...Here I am. I am scared and have no idea what to do. I do not want to tell my family or anyone so here I sit scared to death.

Sorry for the rambling. Hopefully I can process this soon.

Looks like I am 3w 6 days Due Oct 11.

We have used NFP for 4 years....

Congrats! Pregnancy can be such a fun and scary time. Try to enjoy it and not worry! You guys sounds ready for a baby, even though you may have wanted more time as just a couple.

Give yourself some time. The news will settle in and you'll get a better idea on how you feel about it. Your initial reaction isn't always the one you settle on. It does sound like you guys are in a pretty good place, even if it wasn't in the immediate plans. Make sure to take care of yourself. When everything goes crazy we need to spoil ourselves.

Congratulations! I have found that sometimes are life plans are different than we anticipated. My husband and I waited until we had been married 5 years and I was 32 before we even started trying but then were hit with fertility problems. I sure wish I would have known that after spending so much money on birth control for 14 years. Definitely not in my plan but I believe everything works out for a reason.

Take it one day at a time and really embrace these last 9 months where it will be just your husband and you.

Take some time for yourself right now like get a manicure, a facial, coffee at a coffee shop or plan a romantic dinner with your husband.

Again...congratulations. This is an amazing time in your life.

Congrats!! This is fantastic news!!! My husband and I used NFP for a year before getting pregnant with our daughter! It wasn't a suprise for us because we were trying but this is such a blessingggg!!! Having a baby is the most incredible feeling in the world! H&H 9 months to you!!!

being scared is normal..people who wanted to get pregnant r scared. Maybe if u tell a couple close friends or family member they can help ease ur mind.

So agree... telling someone close to you and seeing the huge smile on their face can make the butterflies flee. This is my second time pregnant, but miscarried during the 2nd month last time. Being pregnant is such a blessing, and you realize it more once you've lost a baby (at any stage). But I was still SO scared when I saw the +!!!
