Sinus infection :[

DS had a pretty bad fever, and now is just snotty, like the nasty thick green snots you get when you have a sinus infection. Pedi said everything else checked out to be fine. Looks like I have a nice sinus infection brewing myself.

We're a couple of snots.

I feel bad since I can take sudafed to help the congestion, but other than a vaporizer what can I give DS? Poor kid hates the nasal suction, and I don't have a second pair of hands to help hold his head to do it :

Try running a hot shower and sitting in the steamy bathroom with him, baby vapor rub on the feet? Having him sleep on an incline. When DS has a bad cold/cough we have him sleep in his rock n play or incline his mattress a little. Hope you guys feel better soon!

Thanks, I'm going to try and recline his mattress. You just roll some blankets and put it under one side right?

I just went through this 103-105 temp for 5 days about two weeks ago. He had snot flowing like a river poor upper lip was chapped from all the wiping. But I was probably suctioning about 3 times a day and woke up to blood all over my sheets (cosleeping) and he had a bloody nose ugh it was so scary! Anyways I gave him saline spray, the vicks (but not vicks the people who make little fevers) stuff you rub on their chest, propped his mattress up and ran the humidifier. but honestly i think it was just time. He was also on an antibiotic but idk if that helped I just opted to give it to him because the fever was freaking me out
