Pregnant after a Loss

Lack of movement, total pgal moment

I've felt movement from about 18 weeks. Not a ton, but definitely noticeable. Usually around the same time everyday. These past few days I don't think I've felt any movement. I know it's still pretty early, it just feels strange because I felt it before. Anyone else experience this? Should I call my ob?

Re: Lack of movement, total pgal moment

  • This was me a few days last week and I was trying everything to get him to move (drinking everything sugary, laying on both sides, jumping around in case he was trying to sleep and trying to generally tick him off) and he wouldn't.  Then the other day he started back ever more than before.  Your LO could be relaxing or hiding out.

  • I had the same thing and started to panic last week. Then 2 days later a huge thud and he's been moving like crazy. I'll be honest though, I ate some sour gummy worms and prayed lol. It worked!

  • I'm only 7 weeks so I don't have any advice.  I just wanted to say that I hope that everything is ok and that you feel movement soon!

  • This totally happened to me at 21 weeks.  I went for about 4 days without feeling anything and freaked out.  I went to my doctor and she used to doppler and we could hear him moving all over in there but I couldn't feel it.  I'm not sure what happened but now everything is back to normal, maybe even a little more activity.  I think the little guy is making up for it!  I'm sorry, I know it's scary but I'm sure all is well.

  • I started feeling movement at 16 weeks & on the days where I felt little movement I was very thankful for my doppler.

I think your OB might tell you everything is fine and it's too early, but if you think it is something concerning then insist.

  • Thanks all! I have my doppler but my brain tends to think the worst. I just need to be patient!
