Moving to Portland from NYC in FEB looking for Pregnant/New Mommy friends

my husband and i will be moving to Portland in Feb. we are looking at places around Hawthorne, Alberta Arts and any areas close to transport or walkable since i don't drive and we don't have a car yet.

I am very early on in my first pregnancy at 34 and would love to find out about any local meetups. I also need to find a good midwife or OB out there to deliver our bean. Please say hello and any suggestions or advice is appreciated.

    HI! Welcome!!

    Hope you have a safe and uneventful Move!   First off, I know there is is a meetup.com group that would fit right in for your needs for a new moms group, they only except babies being born in May/June - September 2012!  I have a Great OB Named Dr, Alfred Ono and we adore him! Here is his # (503)229-7353. I know for sure he delivers at Good Samartian Hospital in Portland and at St. Vincents in Beaverton/Portland.  I have an older Daughter and now im pregnant with our 2nd so we also  have means to an amazing Pediatrician when you are ready for that! :)  Hope this helps! Hope to meet you when you get here and are settled! Our Due dates arent that far apart!

    Welcome!! I just moved back to Portland from NYC last April.. .we lived in Brooklyn (Park Slope) for 8 months before hightailing it back. hah.

    I'm also 18 weeks pregnant with #2, maybe when you get settled we can meet up for coffee or something :)

    Welcome to Oregon!!!! Ummm well for the OB/GYN question: Dr.Rosenburg 503 215 4250 and if you deliver at providence there is a free awesome new mommys group every friday at 1 to 3. I got to it and I love it! Maybe we can meet sometime as well :)

    I'm using https://www.almamidwifery.com as my midwife and birthing center. They also do a monthly meet up for summer, winter, fall and spring expecting mothers. They have great reviews on Yelp https://www.yelp.com/biz/alma-midwifery-portland
    and also offer many classes to help you along the way, many are free.
